Yu Hu

Yu Hu is the CEO and co-founder of TeachTorch, a Dutch startup specializing in on-premise AI solutions for education and workforce development. With an engineering background and an MBA, he brings over eight years of executive leadership across the global EdTech industry.

Before founding TeachTorch, Yu led the Education Business Unit at Arduino, where he oversaw international strategy and the delivery of award-winning educational technologies. Previously, as Managing Director of Makeblock Europe and Director of Education, he established the company’s European presence, expanded global market reach, and guided the development of innovative STEAM learning solutions adopted by schools worldwide.

His career combines business development, strategic partnerships, and product innovation, with a consistent track record of scaling operations and building high-performing international teams. Recognized with multiple BETT Awards and global innovation honors, Yu is committed to positioning TeachTorch as a leading venture at the intersection of AI, education, and workforce transformation.
